Droves of visitors have been heading over to Cumbrae for the day to make the most of the glorious sunshine.
With weather forecasters announcing that Tuesday is expected to be the best day of the week, there has been a surge of foot passengers as well as a high number of vehicles queuing at Largs ferry slip.
In a statement issued at 3pm on Tuesday, a CalMac spokesperson said: "Due to volume of traffic there is currently a 60 minute wait for vehicles at Largs
"Due to the large volumes of vehicles and foot passengers travelling from Largs today, sailings from Cumbrae are expected to be busy this evening.
"Please allow extra time for your journey as queues are anticipated."
