Police in Largs have confirmed that they are investigating reports of unruly behaviour by yobs in the town's Morrisons store.
Customers took to an online forum to voice their shock at witnessing a number of incidents in the store on Tuesday night including a 'bottle being smashed' to the ground.
According to a report posted online, 'customers were subjected to teenagers shoplifting, verbally and physically abusing staff before two girls smashed a bottle of vodka that was aimed at a member of staff, running away laughing'.
Police have told the News that they are investigating the incidents.
Sergeant Donald Fisher said: "Yes, it was reported to us by the store. A crime report has been created and enquiry is ongoing."
A spokesperson for Morrison's Supermarket said: "There was an isolated incident at the store so the police were called on site and we are now assisting the police with their inquiry."
