Waverley Excursions have explained why they've had to cancel tomorrow's sailing after encountering a technical fault.
The Waverley Excursions website includes details of the cancellation and the direct nature of the problem.
The cruise to Pladda and round Holy Isle was due to have pick-ups at both Largs and Keppel Pier in Millport.
A spokesperson for Waverley Excursions said: "Unfortunately, a fault has developed with one of Waverley’s steam winches this evening which requires repairs to be made before we can continue with the sailing programme.
"Waverley will therefore be unable to operate the sailing on Thursday 25th July as planned.
"We sincerely apologise for the late cancellation of this sailing and the inconvenience this will cause.
"Passengers with pre-booked tickets have been informed.
"Tickets can be transferred to any other sailing or a refund can be made."
