Comedy stand-up nights have become something of a popular trend in Largs with The George Bar continuing to host one event per month to appreciative crowds.
Former Radio Clyde and Q98 DJ Steve Goldie has introduced the stand-up nights to Largs.
He told the News that they have now hosted three stand-up nights this summer and they have been well attended. He hopes that the high quality acts provide a rare opportunity for people to enjoy some top class comedy in local surroundings.
Steve is also providing a launchpad for any up and coming talent who want to sample their material to a Largs audience.
He said: "Our next event will be held on Friday, August 30 at The George in Main Street from 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
"We're still looking for local newbies to do a five minutes and I'll be happy to offer free coaching to any performers who want to give stand up a try for the first time."
