With the loss of the popular Country Music Festival, the Pier Hotel in Millport is stepping up the mark by hosting a weekend of music of the genre later this month.
No acts have been announced as yet, but the former Royal George Hotel on the island will be hosting country music across three days.
A spokesperson said: "Mark your calendars, for Millport country music weekend this year, on August 16-18
"We have plenty of amazing musicians performing live all weekend."
The country music festival ran over a five year period on the island, taking over from the country and western festival, and attracted high calibre acts including The Wandering Hearts and ex-East Enders star Shane Ritchie and a range of talent from America and in the UK.
The original Country and Western Festival was launched in the 1990s, and even featured in BBC sit-com Rab C Nesbitt and included rodeo events, bucking bronco, and live bands in pubs and bars.
Now Millport Pier Hotel hope to carry on this proud tradition with three days of entertainment through live country music.
