POLICE are still looking for the public's help as they try to trace the person responsible for a theft in Largs more than a month ago - but two more similar incidents have been detected.

Thieves targeted a trio of properties, two in Holehouse Road, and one in Gateside Street, which resulted in two of the three incidents being detected.

The first incident, a theft by opening a lockfast place, happened on June 30 in Holehouse Road.

According to the most recent crime report provided to Largs Community Council, the incident was later detected.

A person has been apprehended in connection with a second incident of theft by opening a lockfast place, also in Holehouse Road, the day after the previous incident.

But a third incident, in Gateside Street on June 25, is still being investigated by police.

Reports on the Holehouse Road incidents have been sent to the procurator fiscal.

The thefts appeared in the crime report provided to the community council covering a reporting period from mid June to mid July.
