Largs Lifeboat had a very special call out last night as volunteer rescuers and fundraisers came together to celebrate 200 years of saving lives at sea around Great Britain.
The RNLI was hosting a special 'One moment - one crew' event as volunteers assembled at their respective lifeboat stations around the British Isles, and in Ireland too.
An RNLI spokesperson said; "Our amazing volunteers and staff across the UK and Ireland gathered yesterday at 6.24pm to celebrate our 200th year.
"From crew to fundraisers, lifeguards to shop volunteers, we’ve been saving lives at sea since 1824 thanks to our incredible people.
"The image captures those who are playing an important part in our lifesaving work today, with hundreds of lifeguarded beaches, lifeboat stations, shops and fundraising branches all taking part."
