ScotRail has warned of potential longer journey times for train services across the Ayrshire network due to today's adverse weather.
The rail company explained there have been 'various blanket emergency speed restrictions' across some areas of the network.
Speed restrictions will often result in extended journey times or alterations.
ScotRail advised passengers to check their entire journey online before travelling.

It comes following the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in Ayrshire.
The warning is currently in place until 9pm today (Monday).
The forecaster warns heavy rain 'will bring the potential for some disruption across parts of western Scotland'.
