Millport venues have lined up live musical entertainment in a bid to keep Cumbrae's country music traditions alive.

The Country Music Festival, started way back in 1995 as the 'Millport Country and Western Weekend', was a very successful attraction on the island for many years, and in more recent years, became a music festival, attracting many top performers from across the UK and the USA, but it came to an end two years ago.

Back To Country will be making a quick return to the Pier Hotel after their popular show earlier this month, with a set on Saturday, August 17 from 12 noon till 3pm.
