Police have confirmed that a woman reported missing from Largs has been found safe and well.
Earlier this afternoon, the police were appealing for the help of the public to trace 77-year-old Jeanette McIlvar, who was last seen in the Eastern Avenue area around 9am on Thursday August 15.
A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Jeanette McIlvar, 77, who was reported missing from Largs, has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.
