The passenger toilet facilities onboard the MV Loch Shira ferry between Largs and Cumbrae are out of order.
The ferry only recently returned to service on August 7 for the first time in four months after it was withdrawn following damage.
As previously reported, a routine ramp inspection identified cracks in the forward ramp hinge, and further inspections found that the damage was beyond repair, and the hinge required to be replaced to return the ramps to operational service.
This resulted in the ferry being pulled from service as it went to Troon to be repaired and left MV Loch Riddon operating a single vessel service which left customers with an increased wait during the summer holidays.
CalMac also redeployed the oldest ferry in its fleet – MV Isle of Cumbrae – as the supporting second vessel on the route until another vessel was able to take over.
Now, the ferry operator have updated customers on Tuesday, August 20 that the toilets on MV Loch Shira are out of order until further notice.
And people who wish to use the Largs - Cumbrae slip service could face disruption or cancellation due to a forecast of strong winds.
The unfavourable weather is set to roll in on Wednesday morning, with the vast majority of the West coast of Scotland set to be affected.
The Met Office has sent out a warning which is due to last from 9am on Wednesday, August 21 until 3pm on Thursday, August 22.
The warning says around 75-100mm of rain is expected over the course of Wednesday and Thursday for some places, with the main bulk of the rain falling with a 24-hour period.
