THE organisers of the Largs market have revealed that local 'legends' have signed up to be part of the next event this weekend.

The marketplace in Gallowgate Square has been running successfully since the summer of 2020, with the opportunity for local vendors to sign up first, before the opportunity is given to other stallholders in Ayrshire and around Scotland.

A spokesperson for Largs Events said: "Largs legends Tea in the Square at Largs Post Office will be with us in Gallowgate Square this Saturday from 10am with their delicious pies, pastries and of course, their famous strawberry tarts.

"Make sure you’re down early as they sell quick.

"We have another full market this Saturday we are back in Gallowgate Square and full to the brim with amazingly talented makers bringing you all the very best in makes, bakes and everything in between."

The rest of the vendor list includes the following: Fruits & Roots, Cakes by A.J & co, Forge Acrylics, lumiescents_candles, Freya’s Bakery, Outlandish Brewing Compan, Gracey Flair, Cookie mama, Lavender Heart, Tartan Treasure's, Lee Goldie Art, Quilling Cosmos, The Cinnamon Chest, Spanish Scrub Shop and James Wilmot.

The popular market runs from 10am till 4pm.

The market is now an established part of the weekend events scene.

The market day is organised by the Largs Events committee, which is run by local volunteers, alongside SHS Events who also helped co-ordinate the Largs Dogs Day Out and Food and Drink festival earlier in the summer.

The Largs Events team are also involved in the co-ordination of the Yuletide Night in December.

Largs Events representatives recently told Largs Community Council that they are also hoping to add further events to their schedule next year including a classic car show, and a musically inspired festival.
