The normally safe and sedate confines of the community garden in Largs has been invaded by Viking warriors in time for this weekend's festival!
The garden has been given a fresh makeover in time for the Norse extravaganza this Saturday.
And Viking warriors, shields and symbols are caricatured at the community garden which is a popular scene before entering the town centre, coming from the south side of Largs.
Robbie Stevenson, who has been one of the volunteers behind the garden, said: "Largs Community Council Garden welcomes the arrival of King Hakon and King Magnus for the start of Viking Festival.
"As in 1263, the people of Largs will give our guests from The Kingdom of Norway a warm welcome!"
The community garden is based in Gogoside Street at the junction with Irvine Road, directly across from Homemount House, and is run by Largs Community Council, which provides a number of displays marking calender events during the year.
The garden has been decorated for Armed Forces Day, the King's Coronation, Remembrance, Christmas and Hallowe'en in the past.
There is also the community-run Largs Viking Garden, based at the town's railway station, which includes the prow of a Viking ship to greet visitors when they enter and exit.
The Viking Festival gets underway this Saturday on August 31 and runs for nine days until September 8.
