TV star Glen Michael looked to be in a fix when he encountered Batman and Robin at the Viking Festival in Largs.
And the caped crusader was played by no other than Willie Brown, the well known Largs milkman, as it looked like Glen's tea was out!
It was a fun promo pic for the Viking Festival, and Glen, who brought his popular cartoon cavalcade to Largs, was more than happy to play game for the News photographer.
And POW! Even the Batmobile put in an appearance as Adam West's original 1960s Batman was very much the inspiration before the arrival of Michael Keaton's movie version had arrived in the cinema.
And in August 1992, the Garrison in Millport was the spectacular backdrop for the Scottish seaside queen contest being held on Cumbrae.
And Fraser's Bar in Millport had its own float in the parade with the Waverley paddelsteamer being the inspiration for the very unique design.
James Burns and David Castelvecchi were at West Kilbride Flower Show and posed for the camera showcasing some of the amazing items on display.
