A prominent plot in Largs town centre has gone up for sale for offers over £90,000 - and includes planning permission for a boutique hotel.
The dilapidated former house on the site was demolished by the landowner John Corrigan, of Acre Lettings.
He then got the green light from North Ayrshire Council planner to build the hotel on tyhe site, close to Largs prom..
Mr Corrigan, who owns a number of properties in the town centre, says he hopes it is a good time to sell with flocks of visitors coming to the town during the Viking Festival, and a busy summer in general in the town, despite the poor weather.
He said: "It is up for sale and it could have various uses. It currently has planning permission for a boutique hotel, but you could have planning for a shop, single storey, residential, and you could probably have any variation on that.
"I still own some holiday lets in the town and they are always busy from May to September.
"It is a prominent site and I don't see why something cannot be built there; it is just finding the right property to move in there.
"It has been a good summer in the town and it has been busier than it has been after COVID, and it seems to have sustained these good numbers. "
The businessman's original proposal included a reception area and 14 rooms, and was aimed at the fast growing budget boutique hotel market.
