A DJ who has performed in Miami, California, Ibiza and to thousands at both TRNSMT and Belladrum music festivals is to play a set at Largs Academy this week.
Bruce Glenny, from Gourock, will perform at the school's charity event for the STV's Big Scottish Breakfast Children’s Appeal 2024 this Friday, September 6.
Bruce will take to the DJ decks at lunchtime in support of the school’s first Fundraising Friday, which is targeting a reduction in child poverty in Scotland.
As well as the fundraising element, Largs Academy will provide pupils with breakfast and educate them on the importance of healthy eating.
Bruce, 24, who is a finalist in the Rising Star category of the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce ICON Awards, said: "Reducing child poverty in Scotland should be a target for us all.
"I’m more than happy to play at Largs Academy in their first Fundraising Friday event in support of the STV Big Breakfast Children’s Appeal."
The Largs Academy event is the start of a busy period for Bruce, who is also performing at the Ardgowan Distillery Open Day on Saturday, September 7, followed by gigs in St Andrews and Edinburgh.
The finals of the ICON awards are at Greenock Town Hall on Friday, September 20.
