UPDATE: Police have now confirmed that Feargus Taggart has been found safe and well.
AN appeal has been launched for a keen walker who is missing from Largs.
Feargus Taggart was last seen leaving on foot by his family around 8pm on Monday, September 2.
The 48-year-old is a keen walker, and is described as white Scottish, around 6'1" with receding brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, and often wears an Akubra hat (wide-brimmed Australian bush hat).
Police officers say that extensive enquiries are underway and they are seeking the assistance of the public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Any sightings of Feargus, or any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please contact Largs Police office on the police non-emergency number, 101 - reference PS-20240203-3590."
