Thousands of people headed to Largs this weekend to enjoy the finale of one the town's most popular events of the year which was filled with glorious skies, big crowds and Vikings.

The Largs Viking Festival drew to a dramatic conclusion on Saturday night (September 7) with the Festival of Fire, Viking battle reenactment, torchlight parade and traditional fireworks.

Crowds - with people travelling from as far as the US - flocked to the town to witness the gripping reenactment, participate in the torch lit procession and a grab a closer view of the burning of the longboat.
