ONE of Scotland's leading classical musicians is making his return to Millport for the summer series of concerts at the Cathedral of the Isles.
Since settling in Glasgow in 1980, Gustáv Fenyo has been recognised as one of the country's top musicians.
He will be performing at the cathedral on Sunday, September 22 at 3pm. It is a free concert, with donations welcomed.
Gusztáv was lecturer of piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has also taught and performed at leading institutions and summer schools in the UK, Hungary, Slovakia, Australia, Mexico and USA, working alongside such distinguished teachers as Vesselin Paraschkevov and Felix Andrievsky.
Described as a world class musician, Gusztávo has broadcast for the BBC, Australian Broadcasting Commission and Hungarian Radio, and his commercial recordings include works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin.
Gusztáv is well-known for his single-composer cycles, which have included Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, Chopin’s complete solo piano works and Shostakovich’s 24 Preludes & Fugues.
