THE former Moka café in Largs is set to re-open under a different guise after being teased on social media.

A new social media page for the café has revealed that it is set to be called PERK, and will be based at 59 Main Street, the site of the former Moka café.

The café suddenly closed its doors last week just six months after opening, with rumours swirling in recent days that it was set for a rebranding.

The PERK Facebook page states: "Largs, we’re thrilled to introduce PERK!

"We’re bringing exceptional, organically sourced produce with a commitment to quality and sustainability.

"From the finest locally roasted coffee to a menu crafted for all dietary needs, PERK is here to elevate your café experience!

"Join us for our grand opening this Saturday, the 21st, and savour the quality in every sip and bite!

"Plus, we’ll have amazing prizes for the first 50 customers, and one lucky customer will have their entire bill on the house!"

"We can’t wait to see you all!"

And in another posting on its page, it is stated: "PERK, where we serve exceptional, organically sourced produce with a focus on quality and sustainability.

"Enjoy one of the finest locally roasted coffees, and indulge in a menu that caters to all dietary needs. Taste the difference in every sip and bite."

Popular Ardrossan business Moka opened its second branch in North Ayrshire on Largs' Main Street back in March.

Their last day of trading was on Sunday, September 15, where customers received a 15 per cent discount as a token of appreciation.

The plant-based and vegetarian food business have stated the "challenging demand" for their services and the summer have contributed towards the decision to close at short notice. See story here.
