STAMPS covering The Battle of Britain featured at the launch of another new season for Largs and District Stamp Club.
New president Ricky Boyd started the 2024-25 session with a selection of his wide-ranging philatelic interests.
Starting with covers and other memorabilia from his last trip to the D Day beaches and other sites in France, including Pegasus Bridge, with one signed by the son of Stag, the weatherman, this was followed by Battle of Britain covers and others commemorating Victoria Cross winners.
Ricky's second round ranged from Washington, the Schneider Trophy, BOAC and Antarctica, with a third round covering transport, the Falklands and Scottish Congress covers.
Robert Watt, the outgoing president, gave the vote of thanks.
The next meeting takes place on September 25 and the main topic is Scottish Wildlife by Sandy Kerr.
