ST Mary's Primary School in Largs had a VIP visit this week from Bishop Frank.
The school was honoured to welcome The Right Reverend Frank Dougan to Largs this week, and he spent time with pupils and teaching staff during his visit.
A school spokesperson said: "We were honoured to welcome The Right Reverend Frank Dougan to visit St Mary’s along with Fr Peter.
"Bishop Frank took lots of time to answer many questions from our children. He also spent time with our staff."
The Lanarkshire priest continues on from Archbishop William Nolan who was in the position from 2014 to 2022 when he became Archbishop of Glasgow; since then it has been administered by Fr William McFadden.
Fr Dougan, who left the role of parish priest at Our Lady of Lourdes in East Kilbride in December 2023, has also served at churches in Hamilton and Rutherglen, and was ordained in 2001.
