THE BBC TV cameras were filming at Wemyss Bay Railway Station for a special feature on the World Cup of Stations.
The Friends of Wemyss Bay Station feature appeared just after 7.23am on Monday morning on BBC Breakfast on BBC1 but is still accessible on iPlayer for the rest of the day.
The feature includes old news footage of the station and an explanation on why the unique looking station is shaped the way it is.
It also showcases how it has been brought back to its former glory to be a winner out of 2,500 stations around the UK which was then whittled down to a shortlist of 48.
A Friends of Wemyss Bay Station spokesperson said: "As we are the current holders, bookshop manager Simon Dell and secretary Bren were interviewed by the BBC on Wednesday. You can catch it on Monday's BBC morning news 6 - 9.30 am."
Wemyss Bay Station as the holders are not competing for this year's competition and the group have revealed that they themselves were inspired by Pitlochry book shop in setting up their own second hand bookshop at the station.
