MEMBERS of Largs and District Stamp Club were asked to bring along a representation of their collection to show how others can have a different approach.
David Rossall opened the recent meeting by saying that unless you are exploring competitive philately, with its own rules and regulations, there is no right or wrong way to collect.
Stamp collecting is a hobby for enjoyment and each one has their own ideas. The way one collects is often a reflection of what one collects.
In two rounds most of the members present showed what, why and how they collected, some showing how their collecting styles had developed and others asking for pointers as to where they should proceed in future.
All agreed that it had been a useful and very interesting evening.
Their next meeting on October 25 is a postcard night.
