THE Waverley will not be calling at Largs today as originally planned in its final sailing of the year before returning to dry dock.
Largs pre-booked passengers have been offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer to a sailing next year.
A spokesperson for Waverley Excursions said: "The weather forecast for Sunday shows very strong winds in the late afternoon and into the evening. Waverley’s sailing will therefore need to be amended to ensure she is back in Glasgow by mid-afternoon before the wind conditions peak.
"Waverley will sail from Glasgow Science Centre at 9:30am and Greenock Custom House Quay at 11:15am for a cruise to Loch Long & Loch Goil turning at Lochgoilhead. Waverley will return to Greenock at 2pm and Glasgow at 3:40pm.
"Those passengers with prebooked tickets will be contacted.
"Passengers with pre-booked tickets from Glasgow and Greenock will be offered a part refund or the opportunity to collect a Half Price Voucher for a future cruise on Waverley."
