LARGS Academy Picture House are showing the classic Michael J Fox movie Back to the Future at their community cinema in November.

Set in 1985, it follows Marty McFly, a teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean automobile built by his eccentric scientist friend  Emmett "Doc" Brown, where he inadvertently prevents his future parents from falling in love – threatening his own existence.

Marty is forced to reconcile them and somehow get back to the future in the classic which spawned two sequels.

The time travelling movie is still very much spellbinding for the next generation of children, and it has been selected by the secondary school for their cinema showing on Wednesday, November 20 at 6pm.

Snacks and drinks will be available. Go to ticketsource.co.uk/largs-picture-house for tickets.

Largs Academy launched its own cinema in 2019, which is again continuing this year.

It was a business start-up as part of a skills development programme aiming to train up Largs Academy pupils for the world of work, with Walter Smith OBE a mentor on the project.
