THE North Coast and Cumbrae's Men Shed has been regularly hosting the Largs branch of the Scottish Women's Institute (SWI) for workshops.
The shed has been working closely with community groups including the newly formed SWI and the Largs Boys Brigade, who have benefitted from learning new skills at workshop style events.
The move has not only revitalised the Brisbane Centre in town, but become a beacon of hope and support for scores of people.
It is now 19 months since the volunteer-run operation launched and it already has a membership of more than 80 people.
The main purpose of the group is to provide a place for men to get together, chat and help each other, as well as work as a team in producing various woodcraft to boost men's mental health.
And the SWI are regular visitors to the community men shed, which is continuing to grow from strength to strength.
