A GROUP of young ambassadors from North Ayrshire Active Schools were good sports as they paid a visit to the West of Scotland Padel Club.
Club coach John Byrne gave them an introduction to the increasingly popular sport of Padel.
John led them through a number of exercises to get them comfortable with playing different types of shot and then they all took part in some impromptu games before heading home.
The pupils are all S1-3 at St Matthews Academy and are North Ayrshire Active Schools Young Ambassadors whose role is to promote school and community sport to their peers.
After visiting the club today, they plan on promoting the club within St Matthews and its cluster primaries to help make the wider school community aware of the club and the sport and drive pupils towards it.
After the visit, St Matthews cluster coordinator Chris Hays said: "Today was a fantastic visit learning about an amazing club and facility right here in the Three Towns.
"We plan to take today's experience and promote the club to our wider school community to help support the club's Junior section."
