LARGS Academy pupils have today bid farewell to their long-serving campus police officer PC Pollard.
An Academy spokesperson said: "Today we say goodbye to PC Pollard - an outstanding and much loved member of our staff.
"PC Pollard has spent years working to keep our pupils safe and we wish him the very best in his new role."
PC Ross Pollard has been connected to Largs Academy since the new school opened in 2018 and this was the first time that Largs - with its super school, including Largs Primary and St Mary's - had a policeman in post.
Interest had been shown in introducing campus officers at a number of our high schools as head teachers valued their contribution to the overall delivery of support and education of their pupils.
The Academy spokesperson added: "Pupils will meet PC Arthur - our new school based police officer - on Monday."
