SOME frighteningly good cakes were served up by Largs Academy first year pupils at home economics class this week.
The Hallowe'en themed project certainly captured the imagination of the pupils as they were busy making crispies and cakes.
Children were learning to melt chocolate in a bain marie as part of the project, and were pictured enjoying the fruits of their labour.

Largs Academy are busy in preparations for their forthcoming Christmas school fayre on November 30, and have appealed for local businesses to take up a stall.
A spokesperson said: "Come and support our Christmas school fayre on 30th November 12-3pm at Largs Academy.
"It's going to be even better than last year with a large bouncyland for the kids (and the adults)!
"If you are interested on taking a stall/table, please email gw15mcnicolvictoria@glow.sch.uk"
