TWO Largs businesses have been shortlisted for the prestigious Scottish Italian Awards.
The awards celebrate the best of Italian businesses throughout the country, with a glittering ceremony to crown the winners taking place later this year.
Allegria Italian Eatery on Gallowgate Street has picked up three nominations for Best Barista, Best Family Friendly Restaurant and Best Team.
The business, which only opened in the town three years ago, was highly commended in the Best Barista category in the awards last year.
Owned by Maria Tims, the restaurant has gone from strength to strength since opening, with a number of accolades.
Meanwhile Deli il Cardo has also been shortlisted twice in the Best Antipasto and Best Deli categories.
And they are not afraid of picking up trophies after they were named as the best deli in 2022 despite only being open for just over a year.
Husband and wife duo Karen and Siggi Jungnitz have built a very tight-knit team and developed a loyal customer following due to their friendly service and delicious menu.
A spokesperson said: "Well done to the staff for this fabulous recognition. You are doing a wonderful job.
"Thank you to all our wonderful customers for your continued support. We wouldn't be here without you."
The gala final will take place on Sunday, December 1 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow.
