VOLUNTEERS at Largs Food Bank are reminding the public not to put fresh food in donation stations.
No fresh produce should be put into the pick-up point in Morrisons supermarket, as it goes off by the time volunteers arrive to collect it.
The vital service has also confirmed that its December dates will be on December 5, 12, 19, 23 and 30, with slightly reduced hours of 11am to 4pm on December 23.
The food bank is situated in Largs Community Church, formerly Clark Memorial Church, and is run by a devoted team of volunteers.
It supports the Largs, Fairlie, Cumbrae and Skelmorlie areas. Largs Food Bank is a self-funded organisation and relies solely on donations and fundraising.
Volunteers work tirelessly to ensure there are funds available to keep the vital service afloat for the local community.
