PEOPLE in Millport are preparing to kick off the festive season with their annual Yuletide weekend.
The Isle of Cumbrae Tourist Association (IOCTA) will once again pull out all the stops for a busy weekend of family fun.
On Friday December 6, Santa is coming to switch on the lights at Garrison House at 6pm.
Sonoro will be singing classic Christmas carols before the switch-on from 5.45pm and after until 6.15pm.
Local shops are encouraged to stay open late to welcome all after the lights are switched on.
On Saturday, December 7, Hopscotch will be performing 'Pinocchio' in the DA Hall at 3pm - the event is free of charge and snacks provided.
There will also be a craft fayre in Garrison House from 12pm until 4pm for all your Christmas needs.
And on Sunday, December 8, Santa's Grotto is open at Mapes of Millport from 12 noon until 5pm, with treats for the kids and mulled wine for adults.
Cumbrae Parent Council is hosting its Christmas Fayre at Garrison House from 12pm until 3pm.
IOCTA will be starting a crowdfunding campaign for new Christmas lights due to last year's flooding of the sunken garden.
