THE popular Fairlie Christmas tree lighting takes place on December 2.
This year's Christmas tree lighting will take place at the Village Hall from 7pm, and is a long standing tradition going back over 30 years.
Before the lights are switched on, the Margaret Currie Young Citizen of the Year award will be presented to this year's Young Citizen Of The Year.
Festive refreshments will be served after the formalities. Musical entertainment will be provided by Fairlie Primary.
