MEMBERS of the Largs and Millport News Photo Club captured some magnificent photos of the earlier than usual snow showers to hit the west.

Even though it is still officially autumn time, the area had its first major flurry on Wednesday afternoon leaving villages and towns covered in white across the district.

And camera club members were out in force to photograph some of our well-known beauty spots sprinkled in snow.

Even the brave Largs Thistle players were out training in the wintry conditions in preparation for their big Scottish Cup tie at East Craigie in Dundee.

Peter Ribbeck was fast off his marks with a fantastic drone shot overlooking the sprinkling of snow on West Kilbride.

Thanks also to Jude Bryson-Meehan and John MacMaster for photos of the Isle of Arran and Largs respectively.
