A POLICE helicopter conducted an emergency search over the back hills of Largs and along the Clyde Coast towards Skelmorlie on Friday evening.
The chopper was out from around 10pm for a period of over 45 minutes, sparking concern among residents.
The News was inundated with calls in relation to the incident.
Police Scotland today confirmed that the matter had ended well.
The search operation was carried out in relation to a person of concern who was later traced.
