THERE is still time to donate to a crowdfunding campaign to replace the Millport Christmas lights and decorations after a number were damaged last year.
The Isle of Cumbrae Tourist Association is hoping to restore the lights to their former glory and set up a crowdfunding campaign online which has already raised £1,375.
A spokesperson for Visit Cumbrae said: "We’ve launched a new crowdfunding campaign to restore The Garrison Christmas lights display
"Shortly after Christmas in 2023, a terrible storm hit Millport, which sadly destroyed many of the festive lights and decorations.
"We're now hoping the kind community of Millport will come together and help us raise funds to bring the magic of Christmas to Cumbrae.
"Thanks so much to everyone who donated for all your generosity, we’re over the moon at the response.
"We’re now busy starting to purchase lights & decorations and can’t wait to get The Garrison looking amazing ahead of Yuletide Night on December 6."
