LARGS has been well and truly placed on the Gaelic map as its long standing tradition of Gaelic choral singing has again reaped rewards at the National Mod.
Congratulations go to choir duet Linda McCallum and Colin Fisher on winning the Neil MacLean & Jenny MB Trophy, which took place at the cultural celebration of Gaelic music in Oban.
The main choir also performed very well, in particular scoring highly for Gaelic language. Well done to everyone.
Largs Gaelic Choir has been running since 1980, and recently appointed a new musical director in David Douglas.
Largs last hosted the National Mod, for the third time in the event's history, in 2002.
