NORTH Ayrshire's Reclaim the Night walk will be held in Irvine on Tuesday, December 3.
The event will help to raise awareness about the dangers to women and girls from sexual violence - promoting a safer environment for them to walk without fear after dark.
Those who wish to join the walk should meet at K:A Leisure's Portal leisure centre at 5pm.
Attendees will 'shine a light' on domestic violence using glow sticks and LED candles that will be provided.
After arriving at Fullarton ConneXions, attendees are then invited for soup, rolls, tea and coffee, with the event due to end at 6.45pm.
Representatives from the Violence Against Women Partnership (VAWP) will attend including North Ayrshire Council, North Ayrshire Women's Aid, Barnardo’s Scotland South West Services, Break the Silence, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland Ayrshire, as well as the many members of the public who turn up to support the cause.
