THE Largs Yuletide Night promised to have some surprises this Wednesday coming, and a new addition for the event has just been announced.
Some alpacas will be visiting Tron Place on the evening of the festive spectacular to bring some joy and a good dollop of cuteness to proceedings for the late night shopping extravaganza.
It is Largs Yuletide Night on Wednesday, December 4, with Santa's Parade starting at Kwik-Fit at 6.15pm and heading towards his grotto which will once again be in Nardini's Cafe.
The popular shopping night is always a spectacle with discounts and free offerings of mulled wine and nibbles on the evening.
A Largs Events spokesperson said: "Thanks to a generous contribution from Mactaggart & Co, Estate Agents and Solicitors, we will have some festive alpacas in Tron Place on Yuletide Night!
"Even though they are busy with the refurbishment and rebranding of their estate office, which will reopen early in 2025, Mactaggarts were keen to support Largs Yuletide Night."
There will be a PA system in Gallowgate Square including live music and lots of entertainment, and there will be street entertainment around the town, including Mr B Loon, Scotland's best balloon crafter, returning again in Aitken Street, around Tesco, and Superdrug areas.
The Largs Yuletide Night has been running for more than 35 years and is always a popular date in the build-up to festivities.
And Santa's sleigh will be visiting neighbourhoods on the Clyde Coast next week, as well as having a tracker so you can keep an eye on his whereabouts via the Largs Events Facebook page.
His schedule is as follows:
Monday, December 2
Skelmorlie and Fairlie Santa's Sleigh Tour
Tuesday, December 3
Largs North Santa's Sleigh Tour
Wednesday, December 4

Thursday, December 5
