Last week Inverclyde Sports Centre was the host venue for the International Primary School’s Table Tennis Championships.
Over 60 competitors from around the world travelled to compete and the event was organised by our friends at Table Tennis Scotland. The centre once again welcome both Boccia UK with their Paralympic athletes and also Help for Heroes are bringing their basketball tournament again this year – you might spot them all around the centre this week.
Week 1 of the Easter gymnastics and multi-sport camps were a great success with over 50 children attending for the week. Inverclyde will be running the camps again in the summer holidays. This week the sports centre are heading to the Visit Scotland Expo held at the SEC in Glasgow to spread the word about the centre and it’s residential and conference facilities to an international market.
