This year's Gillian Saltire Appeal fundraising swim from Cumbrae to Largs takes place on Saturday.

This is the 13th successive year that the fundraising swim event has been running.
After the event, there are shower facilities which can be used at Largs Sailing Club, and hot soups are available.
It has grown over the years, and with a big crowd awaiting the swimmers as they reach the finishing line, with disco and music, why not go along and support the event too?
The Saltire Swim raises funds for a Largs based charity which runs seafront accommodation in Largs and Millport to provide respite for visitors who have cancer.
