Largs Thistle legend George Wall writes for the 'News'...
It was a great second half performance from Largs against Benburb, and that is the standard we have come to expect of Largs recently.
I don't think it is necessarily the fact that Thistle are a young team this year it is more that they are inexperienced.
They need a few older heads in their squad.
But I see no reason after that good display why Largs can't go and look to get a positive result on Saturday at home to Hurlford United.
Paul Harkins has had a lot of clubs - and I thought he made a positive difference last week when he was pushed forward into midfield.
Largs were well on top and Scott Adam scored a cracker to win the game.
Will Sewell nearly scored with a great header which was cleared off the line.
It is good to see that Largs have some good attacking options going forward.
Thistle showed strong mental spirit to nearly bounce back from 3-0 down against Beith on Monday evening. The young players in the side have no fear, and they need to keep giving their all as they go into tomorrow's big encounter against Hurlford.
Largs then travel to Cumnock next Wednesday, and they were on the end of a surprise seven goal reversal to Kilbirnie Ladeside on Saturday.
As you would expect, Kilbirnie were over the moon with that result.
I don't think there were any red cards in that game and Cumnock were just blown away.
Thistle hit seven at Townhead Park too last season of course, so it will be another interesting midweek encounter.
Kilwinning have been a surprise package - I didn't expect them to do so well.
Carlo Monti's free kick was a terrific strike in the match.
They saw off Irvine Meadow in their local derby and picked up a point versus Auchinleck Talbot too.
There were some other surprising results - Darvel losing at home to Shotts in the Championship, and Winton Rovers have yet to win in League One yet after a disappointing defeat at home to Shettleston.
