Another good run out for the Accies sees them retain the Dick McAlister Memorial Trophy. It was a physical game as Irvine's pack tried to overpower Ardrossan, unfortunately for the visitors this left lots of space for the accies backs to rip up.
The first half saw Ardrossan testing out some of their playbook with varying success and trying to carry on their intensity in defence from last week. In the second half the accies rang the changes and continued to put the pressure on the visitors as the conditions worsened.
