Largs Sailing Club is now half way through their third National Championships of the year for the Musto Skiffs.
Membership Secretary Gordon Cochrane explained: "These are very different to the Lasers then Toppers we had at the end of July, and beginning of August. Like the Lasers and Toppers, they are single handed, but that's where the similarity ends! Musto Skiffs are big, powerful, fast boats for expert sailors.
The event continues through to Sunday.
Largs Sailing Club sailor Jono Shelley is currently tied in first place, half way through the programme of races. A total of 34 boats have entered, with three from South Africa.
