A FREE family fun day at Barrfields kicked off the Street Soccer Nations tournament in Largs on Friday.
Local groups and the emergency services were present for the free family fun day which included a walking football tournament, tug of war, fun activities and games.
Excitement is building around Largs for the tournament, which gets under way on Saturday - with the curtain-raising Friday fun day getting plenty of pulses racing ahead of the big kick-off.
A parade from Inverclyde Sports Centre, led by the skirl of the bagpipes and featuring all the women's teams taking part in the event, starts things off on Saturday, with the opening ceremony, attended by VIPs, taking place at Barrfields Park at 9.30am.
Football action continues until 2pm, when the Street Soccer action gives way to the West of Scotland Football League clash between Largs Thistle and Arthurlie.
The Street Soccer games resume later on Saturday, with the finals day taking place on Sunday from 10am until 3pm.
Spectactors can watch all the action in the oval terracing area behind the Thistle goal- with the four aside action taking place in a specially set up pitch within Barrfields.
Barry Fleeting, principal of Inverclyde Sports Centre, said: "This will be a great event and it is fantastic to bring a wide range of people here together to Largs to make use of the facilities we have here at Barrfields Stadium, and all the participants are staying at Inverclyde Sports Centre.
"We are delighted to bring this event to Largs. What we have here is fanastic, and it is great to engage the community today before the big events kick off tomorrow with the finals on Sunday."

Friday's walking football competition was organised by former News editor Drew Cochrane and featured plenty of great skill - including a remarkable back-heel goal from the halfway line.
The Church of Nazarene was also present with a range of free food and activities, while Largs Community Resilience Team and First Responders were also there, as well as the recently formed Largs Green Futures Group.
