Skelmorlie Bowling Club recently celebrated its highly anticipated opening day and was blessed with glorious sunshine for the occasion.
The event commenced with remarks from newly elected President Neilly Nicholson.
The club was honoured to host Willie McVey, the Ayrshire District Secretary, who stayed throughout the day and shared inspiring words with club members.
The official opening of our green was marked by club secretary Sheena's ceremonial first Jack throw, heralding the start of the bowling season.
The turnout of members was great and the club extend special appreciation to all visitors, who, as Vice President Bruce Duthie remarked, arrived as guests but departed as friends.
The day concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where the President's Team emerged victorious. Congratulations to Janet Hope, Joanne Watson, Richard Law, and Ian Leonard.
A thank you was issued to all members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of the event.
