Skelmorlie Tennis Club hosted a wonderful opening day on Sunday just in time for the strawberry and cream season with Wimbledon around the corner.
The family fun day event encouraged members of the community to head along to play and support the resource of two tennis courts in the village, which has been a mainstay of many years.
There was live music too from the Skelmorlie Skanks to make sure the day went with a swing - in more ways than one.
The committee wished to note its thanks to The Skanks for entertaining everyone on the day, and everyone who kindly donated to the raffle and the cake stall. They also praised the team of volunteers who worked hard to put the event on, and of course, all who attended on the big day for making it such a success.
