Halkshill Bowling Club were the victors in a battle between North and South Ayrshire played in good spirits in memory of a great bowler.
The annual competition event takes place in memory of Ian Smith, a popular and fondly-remembered figure on the local bowling scene.
A club spokesperson said: "Halkshill Bowling Club president John McDonald took a squad to do battle with the young Troon team in competition for the Sonny Trophy in memory of Ian 'Sonny' Smith.
"We took a drink for absent friends, Bill Smith and of course Sonny, in a very competitive fixture.
"Halkshill retained the trophy by several shots and the trophy was presented to Charlie Smith by president John McDonald."
