Largs Colts 2012s got back to winning ways with a resounding 7-0 win over Shortlees Utd in Kilmarnock.
The nature of the performance was illustrated by seven different players getting their names on the scoresheet.
Arran Sullivan was first to strike after only two minutes, turning home a Cullin McLaughlin cut back after a quick throw set him free down the right wing.
Levi Scutt was next, running onto a Cullin McLaughlin through ball to slam the ball past the keeper at his near post.
Cullin McLaughlin got his name amongst the goals, reacting fastest to poke home a loose ball in the box, effectively ending the game as a contest by half time.
The second half proved to be more of the same. Captain Connor Sanbrook was the next provider, releasing Sasha Kryznahovski on the right. Despite the Shortlees keeper getting hands to the shot, he couldn’t keep it out.
Birthday boy Tyler Gray was next to get in on the act. Joshua McLeod worked hard to win the ball back on the edge of the box and when the ball found its way to Tyler, he held off pressure from a couple of defender to squeeze a shot in off the far post to make it 5-0.
Goal number six arrived a few minutes later when Reyd Stevens recovered his own blocked shot and slalomed his way into the box before finishing well across the keeper into the far corner.
Jayden McCubbin completed the scoring, squeezing the ball under the despairing dive of the Shortlees keeper.
Zach Shields and his second half replacement Alex Semple were rarely troubled in the Largs goal as Largs chalked up their second clean sheet of the season.
Next week sees a break from league action when the Scottish Cup starts, Dalry Thistle are the visitors to Bowencraig.
